Who is the target audience for the Television Production industry?

I’m doing some research on Television Production and need to find a target audience for the industry. Would the target audience be media corporations such as Disney? How do you find a target audience for a whole industry?

Based on what I see on TV. They are WAAAAY off. I watch SciFi currently known as the Syphilis channel, History channel and am a Motorcycle riding guitar rocking AD&D playing Satyr with the same IQ as Einstein. From what I’ve seen their target audience consists of impotent overweight low IQ and mid management failures and spectators who will never amount to anything.
