Which of these three colleges is the best for film and or television production?
The San Francisco Art Institute, California College of the Arts, or the Academy of Art University. They are all in San Francisco, and I just want to make sure I apply to the best one! I’m interested in directing!
None are likely to lead to the career you want. Check with their placement offices to verify how many of their graduates have succeeded as directors. If they cannot tell you, stay away.
The only colleges in the US which have programs which lead to any real possibility of employment in this overcrowded field are USC, UCLA, and NYU. Even their graduates are more likely than not to face constant disappointment, rather than a good career.
Save your money and avoid the San Francisco schools.
