This video is my 90-second entry into The Tonight Show With Conan O’Brien’s “Conan, Please Blow Up My Car” contest.

Wherein, essentially - you submit a video or essay of why you have the worst car in America, and if a panel of judges select you the winner - you receive a brand new 2010 Lexus HS250h car, and have your old one exploded on national television.

NOT FOR AIR is overlaid on my PepsiCo 1985 campaign reference copy. This was so that, presumably, whoever had that recording couldn’t make public use of it (you know, like posting it on YouTube) without proper permissions. The commercial DID air in its entirity at least once on MTV and likely elsewhere (Superbowl anyone?). This is the full length version of a more common 30 second Miami Vice - Pepsi ad.
