This video shows how Windows Mobile and Android devices can be turned into a DLNA Media Server. Take your pictures while you’re on the go and watch them on your media home devices like TVs, picture frames, game consoles, etc.

The demo is based on a generic technology called Mobile OSGi. OSGi is a universal middleware platform available for many operating systems (in case of mobile OSes that’s Android, Windows Mobile, Brew and Symbian) and is being using in all sorts of vertical markets. This provide cross-platform portability of your applications and services.

The Media Server uses the UPnP Service of the OSGi platform to expose itself in the network. The media renderer devices find the mobile Media Server automatically and play back the content served by your phone.
