What kind of school teaches studio recording, production?

My friend wants to work with musicians doing producing, audio recording. You know like studio work. I know film school isn’t the route. Should she go the community college route or enroll in some sort of recording school?
She lives in Los Angeles and probably won’t relocate so any suggestions of good schools in this area??

Glendale Community College has an excellent program with ProTools training.

    Berklee in Boston is a top school for that. Also, NYU Tisch has a recording/production major (The Clive Davis School at Tisch)
