In What city of California can I pay less rent for an "studio" and be able to work in production too?
I am wishing to live in Calfornia, instead of Idaho, because I am still young and in Idaho there are almost only old peopel,I am missing the young people and an open mind state,so I think I can like California, and I am looking for information or advice about what city could be better for me.I am paying $350 for an studio in Idaho and I need to know where is the cheapest city for rent in California one Studio about $400,not only a room.At the same time I need that in that city there are food factorys because I have experiencie and I like to work in factorys as a packer or any thing in a factory.Do you know a city in California that has that 2 things that I need.Ah and whith publlic transportation too.Could you advice me?

HAHAHAHAHA!! You’re kidding right? You want $400 for a studio!?!?
I want world peace, but I know that’s not going to happen.
Since you posted in LA, try $1000/mo. for a studio! Not even the "ghetto" costs $400! California and cheap do not mix. Sucks doesn’t it?
The cheapest city in California that I can think of is Fresno, and it even there you won’t find $400.

No way you’ll get a studio for $400 in CA, especially So Cal. MAYBE as someone’s roommate if you’re lucky. And places that have factories are generally located in very industrial areas (aka no or very few residential places around and bus routes are limited and only run part of the day).

My advice is to stay in Idaho.
Your conditions are mutually exclusive. There are no places here for $400. You proabably cannot even find a room to share at roommates.com for $400. That’s just how things are here. Everybody wants to come live here in SoCal. It’s called low supply and high demand. That’s why it’s so expensive here. You need about $1000 per month to rent a studio apartment.

Good luck man, maybe you can split a studio for that much with a roomate. Yeah, dude…studios are probably $800 dollars a month in the hood.

Once you figure out where to live, there are bunches of meat packers including Farmer John along Bandini Bl. in Vernon. Just go west from the Long Beach Fwy at Bandini.
Many years ago, the mayor of Vernon received a lot of complaints because he wouldn’t live in Vernon. Its a very ugly and smelly town.
