This song makes …
This song makes them sound like Jane’s Addiction. Bono has the same voice as the guy from Jane’s. And this song has that bit of a hard rock sound sometimes. Same style chords as one of the songs I saw at the NIN/JA concert recently

What do you mean ” …
What do you mean “UF Days”?
Are you referring to their 90s period with Achtung Baby and Zooropa?
I hope they do One, The Fly, Mysterious Ways, Lemon, Babyface, and this song!
The 360 Tour Begins tonight- June 30…..

They did a homage …
They did a homage to the ZOOTV days on the Vertigo tour…They played Zoo Station, The Fly, and Mysterious Ways for hte encore at most shows, along with other songs. They had the zoo baby on the screen and everything. Judging by the songs that they’ve been rehearsing for the upcoming shows, they’re going back to the UF days for this tour.

They have been …
they started at 1978

Simply put…U2 is …
Simply put…U2 is the GREATEST ROCK AND ROLL band since the Beatles!! I have seen them several times in concert, and they ALWAYS give back to the crowd 100%. They have never sold out and always kept their identity. This is proven in one way by the fact that they have never changed personnel within the group. They have been performing together for almost 40 years. LONG LIVE U2…AND MUCH CONGRATULATIONS!!

Yeah, they ought to …
Yeah, they ought to play this song again for the 360 tour. Maybe even they could do One, The Fly, Zoo Station as a homage to the Zoo TV tour.
If only Bono would bring back the characters of MacPhisto and the Fly for the audience….. that would be something.
Sad that he retired those two.

Wow! Everyone is …
Wow! Everyone is entitled to their opinion, but I think these guys can still do it. Magnificent from the new album is just awesome. My church’s band played that song for our 2 Easter services. Classic to me and our band.

The tone on Edge’s …
The tone on Edge’s bar chords is absolutely mind-blowing! It’s raw, yet has such definition. Not to mention that intro Eb. Edge and U2 are killer!!!!

Don’t know how you …
Don’t know how you got here, you just know you want out, believing in yourself almost as much as you doubt! Great lyrics.

I’ll agree the band …
I’ll agree the band has pretty much completely lost any of the magic they once had. But your critique is weak at best. Since when has delay not been a part of their sound. And as for Bono having a political agenda, that’s hardly newsworthy
July 8th, 2009 at 11:45 pm
There is nothing …
There is nothing ignorant about my comment… everything U2 puts out these days is over indulgent ambient delay filled euro-crap. This was their last true rock song that has solid “fathomable” structure… now they are just a euro-pop band that garners youthful support through liberal political agenda. Just too kitschy to me is all…

What an ignorant …
What an ignorant comment.
So how are things going in you’re perfect/ predictable universe anyhow?

Nah - the recorded …
Nah - the recorded version is too overproduced (with the strings). The heavy emphasis on the guitar and drums in the live version is a HUGE improvement.
