LOTTERY SCAM:-
♦Its purely a ‘SPAM’. Do not respond to any of those messages as they intend to ‘STEAL’ your personal information. It is also enough for one E-mail to bait users into more of such lottery winning games. It is entirely a ‘FAKE’. Who would give you free money if you had never participated in any of the contests?

♦Its an EASY way of getting personal information and send you MORE of such messages to FILL up your Inbox! Yahoo keeps telling that they never send lottery E-mails to anyone saying that you’ve won XXX amounts. Never go to a site, which has contests and hosts mail lotteries.

♦People get thousands of E-mails everyday saying that they’ve ‘WON’ lottery prizes and amounts and even go to the extent of claiming their prize. NEVER RESPOND TO IT!!
Folks are also getting ‘DUPED’ by such kind of activities and fall to the trap of spammers! These lotteries ‘CONFIRM’ your working E-mail address and intend to send more of such mails

Scam: I’ve won 4 billion over last 6 months! All I have to do is pay $400 for the delivery of the check [I wonder why a postage stamp won't do!]

I even won money from the Queen of England!!!!

The whole thing is both a fake and an outright fraud. Keep in mind that Peugeot has been in the automotive business for well over a century and doesn’t involve itself into lotteries, promotions, or other similar instruments. Those are the phishers whore illegally using the French carmaker’s name as a front for this "bogus" lottery.

Now the only thing you need to do is just get that message spammed straight into oblivion right away. Remember this is never the way you win the lottery unless you’ve paid some money to play in it.

it is a phishing email and seems like a variation of the "nigerian scam" (type it in your search engine).
there could be a number of ways that they would try and get your money, this is just "the hook" to get you to bite, the next phase of the scam is where you would find out how they would get your money. just from the email you posted it looks like it could either sell you an insurance policy you dont need or ask you to forward a payment in order for your (500,000) to be released to you!!!! you will never ever receive that money or the car!!!! scams operate on peopels greed! report the email as spam and never ever get drawn in by this form of fraud.

This is just another version of the old Nigerian 419 scam that’s been going on for nearly 20 years. Before email, this crap was done by postal mail. Now, spammers can send out millions of emails which cost them nothing. Please do us all a favor, however, next time, DON’T COPY THE WHOLE DARN THING! We’ve all gotten this or things like this. I’ve been getting them for over 10 years. I hit the spam button and am not bothered again for a while.

It’s a phishing scheme designed to steal money from you. Don’t provide any details or respond.

You shouldn’t open unsolicted email from unknown sources. Often what happens is that when you open up spam, it sends back a trigger to the originating source indicating that a valid email address has been found thus subjecting you to even more spam down the road. Even using the preview pane in email products sends web beacons back to spammers.( http://helpdesk.gwu.edu/mailfilter/spam.html )

However, in this case since you have already opened up this email which is a probably a variant of the 419 Nigerian phishing scheme, display all headers and send it to Fraud Watch International. The email address is in the link to the webpage below.
