I’ve not used public broadcast in a decade. When I checked it a while back, it was more violent than what I watch on DirecTv. On the same hand, a lot of the shows I watch were on Fox or NBC 1st. Honestly though, cable should have a choice to have it uncut imo. Freedom of speech & expression after all. my 2 lincons

its called freedom of choice you don’t like what your watching simply change the channel
if you don’t want your kids to watch that station simply lock it

That is the reason why you pay for cable, to get the good stuff. If people worry about that, they can lock in the TV rating that is allowed to be watch.

No. If you don’t want to watch it, don’t watch it!
If you don’t want your children to watch it, tell them no, and block it if you wish.
Cable companies will not broadcast something if nobody wants to watch it. If nobody watches it, then it makes no money. That is the way this works. We all vote for and against programming with our remote controls.

The FCC has no authority on this. They only can regulate over the air transmissions intended for reception by the general public.
Since cable must be subscribed to and paid for it is not "for the general public" and isn’t transmitted over the air anyway.

Yes, that creates enough separation between the two, much in the way there is separation between cable and the playboy channel. In the end its all on the parents to protect their kids from what they deem inappropriate.

Yes, there is enough separation. If you don’t like the channel, switch it. If you’re concerned about your kids seeing any programming while you’re absent, block it. But by all means, when you’re there and watching with your kids, don’t hesitate to explain things if something objectionable shows up.
