How well will this run new games? My pld one is a hp pavillion dv6 and while it runs some, it really struggles wit hthings like GTA4 and Just Cause 2 etc. Is there anything it won’t run?
Is there a different between these two processors?
Intel® Core™ i7-720QM Processor (1.6GHz,4 Cores/8 Threads,turbo up to 2.8GHz, 6MB Cache)
Intel® Core™ i7-820QM Processor (1.73GHz,4 Cores/8 Threads,turbo up to 3.06GHz, 8MB Cache)
What about the memory? Is it enough?
Any crticisms of alienware? Any praise?
Thanks
Yeah, you can definitely find a better laptop for cheaper. Look into the Asus G51, G60, or 72 series notebooks. With Alienware, you’re mostly paying for the name and the chassis. Their internals are no better than other budget gaming laptops, and with the Asus, you’ll most likely save $1000.
As for the processor, the 820QM is a lot faster, especially with the 8MB Cache.

You can probably find a very similiar laptop for less $$$$. Alienware is a good product, but worth the $$….? I dont think so. Shop around, see what else is out there. Try Systemax, HP, Sony, Dell…..
