Does Amazon.com save media?

I format my computer a lot and was wondering if purchasing downloaded media from Amazon.com will be saved to my account. Or do I have to re-purchase an mp3 every time I delete it? I’m hoping everything will end up like the Steam content delivery service someday.

They probably save a record of what you downloaded, but not the actual file. You have to buy it again.

Format … a lot? Then you know to back up your saved files

    you should save a copy on a CD or memory stick, once deleted, it is gone
