he captured the spirit of the mountains, but there was also a gentle side to the man that those close to him knew well.
He was a very kind, thoughtful person, . I wish everybody knew him like we did.

I’m 16 and I live in WNC, I lived close to Popcorn and with his death we have truly lost a Southern Artform. This is a way of life for most mountain folk. Popcorn said he would die at home and not in jail. R.I.P Popcorn you will be truly missed in Maggie Valley.

I purchased the DVD …
I purchased the DVD after seeing this video and it is fantastic. An unbiased look at a disappearing art form. Popcorn is a character for sure. I live in the area and for good or for bad he is the real thing.
