Does anyone know of any films–documentary or fictionalized accounts–about europe’s Muslim ghetto life?

It seems that even europeans make films about how horrible life is in the US, but I don’t seem to recall anything that depicts the racist, xenophobic, poverty-wrecked lives of minorities in europe–post-WW2 that is.

Yes, there are films about their life. Not just about Muslims, but about ghetto life.

You should see La Haine, for example. Treats themes as revenge, resentment, police brutality, riots…

There are many films about Europe’s immigrants. I’ve seen a few. I’ll get it back to you with a couple of film titles.

here’s something telling about our world: A british novelist just won a prestigious international book award for "exposing" the horrid living conditions of Latinos in the US. Isn’t that cute? He found five latinos living in huts in Texas, and that represents all of the US.

Could you imagine the outcry if an American had written a novel about life for immigrants in the UK, where they are so marginalized they don’t even consider themselves british 4 generations later…

LOL, actually "ghetto" was a term used to describe the compounds where Jewish people in Europe were forced to live.
