Can you guys suggest any possible documentary film that I could work on here in the Philippines?

I’m currently on my 3rd year college (Mass Communication) and I’m expecting myself to work on a documentary film sooner or later. Can you guys suggest any possible documentary film that I could work on here in the Philippines? Something not too common and interesting if possible…

try documenting the lives of the indigenous people like the aetas, manobos, tibolis……….try to find out if the the word "patriotic" applies to them..do they know they are part of the Philippines? or do they just live out for themselves? are they aware of the supposed "economic growth" as presented by the government?

Bishop Sibyan came to visit us(Dad, Pastor Robert T Woodworth of Christ & Country Church) in Baltimore Maryland in the USA years ago. I’d like to know how his son is and the ministry. I don’t recall his first name or know if that is the right spelling. He was not Roman Catholic.

You should do an in depth expose on corruption in The Philippines. It is a terrible problem and the Filipinos number one reason for so much misery.

The Philippines should be the most advanced countries in Asia, enjoying the highest standard of living instead of one of the poorest. If it weren’t for institutionalized corruption.

I recently watched a documentary on the phillipines fighting style. I recorded it and watched it again and again. The thing missing was women. I have never seen any documentaries on life of women in the phillipines. You could concentrate on historic roles of women or on modern ones. Phillipine women are some of the most beautiful women in the world.

prostitution, poverty, activists, and their ilk are cliched topics in Philippine documentaries. Try a refreshing, yet simple topic. Your topic and presentation need not tobe pretentious. It can be downright simple. You can start with you immediate environment. When I was in college, we made a documentary about DOTA addicts in the internet cafe near our school. We documented their lives, background, socialization patterns, and engaged in a a DOTA battle near the end of our film (PS I got pwned by them T_T).

Well, it’s not that groundbreaking, but it’s definitely not mediocre either. We made an exceptional film, and got an 1.25 for our final grade!
