I went to this camp when I was younger, it’s put on by the Society of the Blind. I would like to film a documentary film about it, help out the Society by doing it. I would need funds to purchase the proper equipment.

I’d recommend the Beatles Anthology, the 90s documentary series of their career, made with Paul, George, and Ringo. Lots of amazing footage and interviews.

Like what is there job title?
Documentary Filmmaker.
I am currently in college and I am thinking of changing my major. I would like to get into documentary films (but not as a director) maybe as a assistant or anything else. I was wondering what the pay is like? How do I get started? and What job could I have dealing with documentary films besides directing or being in the camera crew?

The pay is bad. For most people, it never gets much better. Learn as much as you can about film and journalism. Look for work as a production assistant, researcher, etc.
